S2E18: Killed By Death

S2E18: Killed By Death

Erm–you’ll “get” that when you listen to the episode. Maybe I (Amy) should disclaim here that I do not actually think you guys are pieces of shit or motherfuckers–that’s just how I show affection. ;) ANYWAY!

Over the holiday months, it was simply impossible to schedule an episode between Emmy, myself, & Marra, so we decided to take a little bit of a hiatus so we could enjoy our holiday season celebrations :) Sorry to keep you guys waiting!

Speaking of our guest host, Marra–thank you so much for joining us!! We had a blast talking to you, as we usually do when we have guests on the show, and we really appreciate you working with us on the timezone difference. Can’t wait to have you back!

Yes, it’s almost the end of January as we post this (Recorded on Jan. 16th, BTW–that’s useful information for when you hear Emmy bring up Buffy’s birthday, which is the 19th, and has already happened at the time of this posting! She also shares HER birthday with Buffy, so a BELATED PODCAST HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH TO EMMY!!). It turns out that some of our families were still planning holiday events into the new year, so that’s why it’s so late into January that we’re finally getting around to this.

On that note: HAPPY NEW YEAR, SLAYERETTES! This is our first podcast of 2014! We got (most) of our contest prizes sent out, and we’re almost at the end of Season 2! We have also added a “Blood Donors” page to the website here, which lists our donation information, as well as our wonderful donors! We talk about it a little bit on the podcast, where we dramatically (badly) read haikus as a donor incentive for Laura, who was our very first donation! THANK YOU AGAIN, LAURA! (Also to Luke, who was our second-ever-donor!) It was such a sweet thing to do, and we are so sorry that our haiku reading is so rusty. We’ll work on it! ;)

Most of all, thank you guys for your ongoing support and, in times like these, patience with our podcast. We know we’ve been a little quiet lately, even on our forum! We hope to bring you many more things to think and talk about in 2014, though, so we hope you’re ready! We’ll also be cooking up a new contest for Season 3, which we hope to NOT do at around Christmas time again this year, so we can get the prize(s) out speedily.

Any and all ideas concerning the podcast, our contests, or our various websites may and SHOULD be e-mailed to feedback@slayerettes.com, sent through our website’s contact form, or hell, even commented below!

On that note: seriously, what do we have to do to get you guys commenting? Actually, if you are at a loss for what to comment, I’d like to know this: do you prefer these more in-depth show notes, or the tiny little blurbs I usually post? ARE YOU FOLKS READING THIS? ARE YOU OUT THERE? WHY AM I YELLING?! I tend to be pretty lazy about these blog posts, and our first few episodes were perhaps TOO in-depth. We’re still trying to find that happy medium. :)

Well, that’s all! Hope you guys enjoy the episode!

Until next time!

I think the tiny blurbs are good. Just a short recap of some of the things you discuss is awesome sauce for me. And hopefully then more will show when I look at it in Feedly.
