Below, we will showcase everyone’s awesome entries for you guys to enjoy! We can’t tell you how much we enjoyed all of your alternate endings. They were really awesome! We’ll also be putting these on our Contests Page in time.

Jen (1st Place): “The Gift (Done Right)”

Jen’s entry was an alternate ending to “The Gift”. We laughed really, really hard at this one!

Ang (2nd Place): “The Initiative: An Alternate Story Arc”

Ang submitted an alternate storyline to the whole Initiative thing. But she presents it in probably the coolest way possible.

Liz (3rd Place): “How It Should Have Happened”

Liz submitted an alternate ending to Season 6/Buffy’s resurrection storyline. She does a way better job of explaining it than I do! She also included this painting.

Every great bit of Magic requires sacrifice.  It has been theorized that the sacrifice for the doe killed to help bring Buffy back in season 6 is Tara. Tara’s life becomes forfeit because Willow killed an innocent doe to bring back Buffy. Tara should not have been the sacrifice. It should have been even trade the life that was saved for the life that was brought back. Here is, in summary, what should have happened when Buffy was resurrected.

In Bargaining Parts 1 and 2 Willow gathers the ingredients to resurrect Buffy. Willow, Tara, Anya and Xander preform the spell. Dawn is back home and Spike is being Spike. When Buffy’s mummified form reanimates with the breath of life Dawnie pops into a glorious explosion of mystic green light. We see a slight tilt in the world. Willow thinks she feels something, but quickly passes it off as the Biker Gang from Hell tries to run everyone over.

When Buffy has finished digging herself out of the grave and returns home Spike is who she finds, as a glowing ball of green light lingers in the door. Spike helps Buffy get dressed and cleans her wounds. Once everyone returns to the house Spike explains how he found her and cleaned her up. He makes a point of what it’s like to dig yourself out of your own grave, something everyone should have realized. Buffy says she fine as Willow and Tara help get her into bed. As a green light hovers over the house and drifts upwards into the ethos Willow says “Do you feel like we forgot something?”

In OMWF Anya is the one kidnapped while singing “his Mrs” and Xander admits to summoning Sweet to see if they will last.

In Tabula Rasa when Willows spell goes ass up as the special black crystal gets smashed the flood of memories brings back the memory of Dawn for everyone. They realize that Dawn has gone back to her pre human form when Buffy was resurrected.

When Warren shows up to shoot Buffy in Seeing Red he has a bespelled bullet that is to make the victim believe the thing they love most is dead and is designed to encourage extra strength. Meant for Buffy he hopes she will go on a killing spree resulting in her own death or jail time. With is woefully bad aim he hits Tara in a through-and-through. No lasting damage, the bullet however lodges in Willows abdomen. With Willow now stronger (almost slayer strength) and thinking that Tara is dead she goes on a magic war path. Xander shows her that there is still love in the world with the “yellow crayon speech” and when her hair turns back to red she sees Tara and they go to England together to help and save Willow.

Since Tara lives there is no need to keep Kennedy around so she is one of the potentials that dies, as she has no strong relation to anyone. Tara even tells her to step off at one point. Willow is hers.

And thus the Buffyvers is happier with-out Dawns preteen wailing…

Patrick (3rd Place): “Alternate Ending to Bargaining (Pt. 1)”

Patrick gave us a very interesting take on how “Bargaining Pt. 1″ could have ended. We especially liked that THEY DUG UP BUFFY’S GRAVE :P

Willow in anger gets distracted by the motorcycle gang and prepares to say a spell, while slowly her eyes turn black.

Willow- Sun-i- morphoa- ta-an i

Saying the spell the motorcycles stop in full force throwing the members into the air. Willow throws her hand in the air with the riders coming to a stop, floating in the air, they are losing breath and becoming unconscious.

Tara- Will, what are you doing? (going in full panic)

Willow- Getting this bitch done.( loudly) Amphorthis!

The motorcycle gang in the air rip apart into pieces, combusting to ashes.

Xander- Willow you are taking this too far.

Willow- No! (looking at the grave) Sani- a- mi- sa- pasci- ia!

Lightning begins to form around Willow, Anya is running in terror with Tara following behind. The lighting is becoming more powerful with Xander screaming at Willow to stop. Willow looks up into the air and screams.

Willow- Release!

The lighting becomes more intense, striking Xander. Xander falls down and becomes unconscious for a few seconds.Willow screams louder.

Willow- Release!

Suddenly everything stops, Willow rising off the ground and grabbing a shovel lying beside her, she begins screaming at a just awoken Xander.

Willow- Xander dig!

Xander- Wil-i can-nt.

Willow-Help me dig Xander, Buffy could suffocate if we don’t get her out!

Xander slowly rise above the ground and grabs a shovel to start digging.

Willow- Come on! We have to dig faster!

Willow notice’s that this will take awhile, preparing a spell.

Xander- No! You have done enough.

Willow- This is for Buffy our best friend,( loudly) Mans-as-tan-ta!

The dirt disappears showing buffy’s coffin. Willow jumps into the grave and opens the coffin. Buffy is shown to be alive, and semiconscious. She gets Xander to help get Buffy out. Buffy gets more conscious and becomes frantic. She is pulled out of the grave by Xander and begins to push him away. Throwing a punch with all the force in her body, she hits Xander in the stomach. Xander is slowly seen not reacting to the punch, she starts to run away, but Xander is able to catch and hold her with no force. Buffy is seen screaming, trying to get away. Willow is seen shocked, drops to the floor and begins to cry.

Willow- Oh Buffy i’m so sorry. Your slayer powers are gone! How did this happen?

The ending credits began to roll, with the screaming of Buffy and the tears of Willow.

Kaila: “Don’t Say”

Kaila entered a very touching alternate story arc to the Buffy/Angelus storyline in Season 2!

Luke: “Weeping for Willow”

Luke’s entry takes us through his alternate ending to “Chosen”.

“Come on, Red,” said Kennedy. “Make it happen.”

Willow took a deep breath. She laid her fingers on the Scythe and closed her eyes, concentrating. She began to concentrate harder as she grasped the weapon tightly. Buffy, Faith, Spike and the rest of the Potentials stood underneath the Seal, waiting for Willow’s spell to work as they watched in fear the Turok Han vampires charging towards them.

Suddenly the office room got brighter, and Willow started to feel the power within the Scythe. “Oh…my…Goddess,” she said.

Kennedy began to feel stronger.  She embraced the power that was developing in her. As she opened her eyes, she was astonished at Willow. Her whole figure was glowing! Her hair had changed from red to white as snow! Willow never felt this blissful performing a spell before. Not too long after, she let go out of the Scythe and was back to normal. Her breath came in short pants as this whole experience really worn out her out.

“You are a goddess,” Kennedy said to Willow.

“And you are a Slayer,” said Willow. “Get this to Buffy.”

Kennedy grabbed the Scythe and ran out of the office to join the battle. Willow was so out of breath that she fell to her right side on the floor.

“Ha! That was nifty.”

Willow stood there on the floor, very weak. Her thoughts bent onto her friends, and how her whole life had changed since she met Buffy and became her best friend. She struggled to get up but was too feeble. The spell really took a lot of strength out of her, and she began to wonder if she’ll live or not.

Suddenly a huge beam of light blasted through the floor of the office. Fortunately Willow missed it by two feet. It turned out that the amulet around Spike’s neck was taking effect and shooting beams of light at Turok Han vamps. The ground began to shake rapidly. Rubble rained down from the ceiling. With as much strength as she had, Willow crawled to try and dodge from the crumbling debris. Kennedy ran into the office.

“Willow! Come on!”

“I’m sorry,” Willow said, faintly. “I need…help.”

“Oh, for God’s sakes,” Kennedy said, under her breath.

She held Willow up to her feet and helped her move along. As they exited the office, Xander and Dawn tried to make their own escape. But for Xander, the first thing he had to do was to make sure that Anya was all right.

“Anya! Anya!”

“Right here!” said Anya. Xander turned his head, and was relieved to see her and Andrew all right.

As everyone entered the bus, Kennedy carried Willow into the bus and laid her down on a seat. She was beginning to feel worried since Willow didn’t look well. They drove on, while Buffy running out to the rooftop of the school building, scythe in her hand. She jumped from building to building, until she made it on top of the bus. As the bus speeded its way, the whole town of Sunnydale collapsed from the immense power of Spike’s amulet.

Dawn look out of the back window at the crater that was Sunnydale. She feared that Buffy didn’t make it out alive. Suddenly Buffy dropped down from the top of the bus. Dawn smiled as she opened the door and got out. She hugged Buffy, who was particularly stunned from the events of today. Giles was also relieved to see Buffy alive as he walked out of the bus.

“I don’t understand,” said Giles. “Who did this?”

Buffy just said, “Spike.”

As they stared at the crater, the Sunnydale city limits sign fell back right into the hole. Buffy then felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see Xander, who looked out of breath.

“Buffy,” Xander said. He gulped loudly as he tried to say what was important. “It’s Willow.”

“What’s the matter with her?” asked Buffy.

“She’s feeling weak,” he said. “Kennedy says it might have something to do with the spell she had done.”

Buffy instantly grew concerned and ran inside the bus. Xander, Dawn, and Giles followed her. When she was inside, Buffy looked around for Willow. Everyone was trying their best to help one another with their injuries. At last, Buffy’s eyes found Willow with Kennedy at her side. She went up close to Willow. Willow looked at Buffy with drowsy eyes, and smiled at her.

“I can feel them, Buffy,” said Willow, breathing heavily. “All over. Slayers are awakening everywhere. You’ll have to find them all.”

“We will,” said Buffy.

Before she “knew it, Willow was surrounded by all her friends.

“Hey, guys.”

“Willow, how do you feel?” asked Giles.

“Weak. That spell has really taken the life out of me. But strangely enough, I also feel fulfilled. That I’ve reached my peak and everything’s going to be all right. I don’t know if I can say the same for you all.”

Willow looked around the concerned faces of her friends. Someone was missing in her mind. “Where’s Spike?”

“He sacrificed himself to save us,” said Buffy as she bowed her head.

“Oh, Buffy, I hate for you to lose another one of your strongest fighters,” Willow said.

“Willow, take that back,” said Xander. “You can’t leave. You’re the best one of us all.”

“You should have seen her when she performed the spell,” said Kennedy. “Baby, I’ll never mock your powers again.”

“Thanks,” said Willow. “And Xander, in my eyes, you were the best of us all. Yellow crayon, remember?”

Buffy gave Xander a pat on the shoulder. Willow then turned her attention to Anya.  She didn’t say anything. She was trying acting serious.

“Well, Anya,” said Willow, “you won’t have to worry about me being on your ass all the time. Take care of Xander, and wish the best of luck to you.”

“Um…” Anya stuttered. It looked like she was about to crack.

“Don’t be afraid,” said Willow. “Be as inconsiderate as you can.”

“I’m really sorry that you’re dying, Willow,” Anya blurted out.

“I’ll take it,” said Willow.

“Sweetie, please,” Kennedy said to Willow. “Don’t leave us after what you did for all of us. Don’t leave me.”

“We can’t always we get what we want, Kennedy,” said Willow. “But you got what you needed, much like how you gave me what I needed.”

Willow looked around at all her friends. Sad faces galore still. “I love you, guys. But now…I’m going be…with Tara now.” And with that, she breathed her last.

Kennedy got up. After taking a few steps forward, she stopped. She glanced at the road ahead. Then she began to feel angry. “GAH!” she shouted. “It’s not fair!” She fell on a seat and began punching the back of the seat in front of her. She punched and punched until she decided to stop, leaving dents at the seat in front of her. Then she began to sob.

“Somebody please console her,” said Buffy.

“I’ll do it,” said Faith. And she went over to where Kennedy sat.

“What’s happened?” Wood asked.

“Just drive, please,” said Faith.

So Wood started the ignition. Buffy covered Willow’s body with her coat. She moved to the back of the bus along with her friends. She and Dawn cried in each other’s arms, while Xander sat all gloomy with Anya’s arm around his shoulder. Giles felt a lot of sorrow, for Willow was the second closest thing to a daughter, next to Buffy.

After about forty-five minutes, everyone’s emotions were calm. Buffy looked out of the window of the emergency exit door.  Dawn looked at Buffy. She tried to think of something to say to her sister.

“I bet you’re jealous that Willow’s in heaven now,” Dawn said.

“Grateful was the word I was leaning towards,” said Buffy.

“Well, Bratty’s still sad over Red,” said Faith, now joining the gang. “But I got some of our girls to help her.”

“Thanks,” said Buffy.

“So, B, what’s next since the Hellmouth is closed for business?”

“There is another one in Cleveland,” said Giles. Everybody looked at him, perturbed. “Not to spoil the moment.”

“Yeah, let us not forget that we saved the world,” said Xander.

“We changed the world,” said Dawn.

“We have a lot of work ahead of us,” said Giles.

Dawn groaned. “Can we go back to the hole so I can push him in?”

“You got my vote,” replied Anya.

“I just want to sleep, yo, for like a week,” said Faith. “You’re not the one and only chosen anymore. How’s that feel?”

“Buffy,” said Dawn, “what are we going to do now?”

Buffy didn’t say anything. She began to ponder. Sunnydale was destroyed but they made it out alive and destroyed the Hellmouth for good. Willow and Spike had died, but Spike fully redeemed himself with his sacrifice and Willow was able to control the magics in her and has been allowed to rest in peace with her lost love presumably. And now she is not the only Slayer, free to do whatever she wanted. What were they gonna do? Well, all Buffy could do was smile.
